After the storm

Signs your roof may have storm damage

Some damage is obvious, like a tree limb or missing shingles. A lot of it isn’t. If a strong storm came through, it’s worth a free look before a small problem turns into a leak.

Things to watch for

  • Missing, creased or lifted shingles
  • Dents or bruising on shingles, vents or gutters
  • Granules collecting in gutters or at downspouts
  • New water stains on ceilings or in the attic
  • Damaged flashing, pipe boots or ridge caps

Not sure? Call or text (478) 550-0162. Inspections are typically within 48 hours.

How we help

What we do, from inspection to repair

Free inspection with photos

About 30 minutes on the roof, and photos of everything we find, so you can see the damage yourself.

An honest opinion

If it doesn’t look like storm damage, or the damage is minor, we’ll tell you. Not every roof needs a claim.

Detailed Xactimate estimates

Xactimate is the estimating software widely used in the insurance industry. We write a detailed, line-by-line estimate of what the repair or replacement involves.

A local public adjuster, if you want one

We work with a local public adjuster. If you choose to hire them, they represent you with your insurance company. Hiring one is always your choice, and it’s smart to ask how they’re paid before you sign anything.

Straight talk

What we can promise, and what we can’t

We can promise

A free, honest inspection, clear photos, a detailed estimate and quality repair work, with our team running the job.

We can’t promise

That your claim will be approved, or how much your insurance company will pay. That decision belongs to your insurance company and depends on your policy.

Your claim, your policy and your decision. Our job is to give you clear documentation and do the work right.

How it works

From storm to fixed roof

STEP 01

Free inspection

STEP 02

Your decision

We talk through the damage. You decide whether to call your insurance company.

STEP 03

Documentation & estimate

If you file, we provide photos and a detailed Xactimate estimate, and we can connect you with a local public adjuster.

STEP 04

From a Google review

“Zach was so honest with us and told us he could fix it temporarily but it wouldn’t be a long term fix. He wasn’t pushing us to get a new roof like so many other people do!”

Storm damage FAQ

Straight answers about storm damage and claims

Talk to our team

Office: Mon–Sat, 7am–7pm. Emergencies: call anytime.

(478) 550-0162

Is the storm damage inspection free?

Yes. It’s the same free 30-minute roof inspection, with photos, and there’s no obligation.

Will my insurance cover a new roof?

We can’t promise that, and nobody honestly can. Coverage depends on your policy and your insurance company’s decision. What we can do is document the damage clearly and write a detailed estimate.

What is Xactimate?

It’s estimating software widely used in the insurance industry. We use it to write detailed, line-by-line estimates for storm damage repairs and replacements.

What does the public adjuster do?

A public adjuster represents you, the homeowner, with your insurance company. We work with a local public adjuster we can connect you with. Hiring one is your choice. Ask how they’re paid before you sign anything.

Should I call my insurance company first or you?

Many homeowners find it helpful to get a free inspection first, so they know whether there’s damage worth reporting. It’s your call.

What if the damage is minor?

We’ll tell you. Sometimes a simple repair makes more sense than a claim.

How soon can you come out?

Inspections are typically within 48 hours, and we do same-week repairs when possible.

Does your warranty cover storm damage?

No. The 20-year workmanship warranty covers the installation work on roofs we install. Storm damage is a matter for your homeowner’s insurance.
